Wowsers. It took an X post from @alex_fasulo to really get my dander up. I’m going to tag @eugyppius1 as well, since this pertains to the idiocracy in Germany. I beg you patience.<\/p>\n
An older couple came into the shop today while I was alone to have their tires changed on the wife’s auto and to check for a leak in the right-rear tire of the husband. They came to the shop at 08.30. Both of them. I politely told them that the work was scheduled for the afternoon, and the work would be done then. They then toddled off saying ” We’ll go off for breakfast and come back in an hour.” We have a four-man shop, and two are on holiday. So I proceeded to work on the schedule on the calendar from my boss. An hour later, they come back and ask if their car was done. Jiminy Crickets, I was fit to be tied. The boss told them before that they should come at 11.00 when he would be back in the shop (to check the tire leak on the husband’s car), and I told them that the work for the tires was scheduled for the afternoon. They left in the husband’s car. Put a pin in this. I’ll get back to this to make my point. @eugyppius1<\/p>\n
I’m probably one of the most educated “grease monkeys” in Germany, I am a Master Carpenter and Cabinet maker. In America, I have master’s degrees in Economics as well as Engineering. In my spare time, I studied fluid dynamics for my “hobby” of building race engines for motorcycle and car racing. David Vizard, Smokey Yunick, Phil Irving and a few locals I grew up with were my mentors. When I came to Germany in 2005, I applied to the Toyota F1 program in Troisdorf. The interview went well, but the answer was that my knowledge was “obsolete. Funny, most of the engines are based on the knowledge of piston dwell time and the modifications I spoke of with coatings for greater thermic efficiency are now a part of the program. I digress.<\/p>\n
However, although my knowledge of thermodynamics ends under the hood of a car. It does not end with common sense in the real world. I grew up on a farm. In the fields, baling hay. In August, in PA. I also spent time “racing in the streets.” Also in August, at night. The streets radiated the heat of the day well into the night, regardless of what city I was racing in; Front Street in Philly, Hamilton and Tilghman Streets in Allentown. The heat still radiated. The heat did not radiate from the fields. Actually, the heat of the fields is no comparison to the heat of standing in a parking lot of a shopping center. Crikey, I was in Houston at the height of summer, and walking to my car made the morning’s shower useless.<\/p>\n
@alex_fasulo, Here’s my point, it’s been my position from the onset of putting PV installations on open land. Putting them on open fields will change the thermal flow of heat and disturb the natural flow of wind. My biggest argument against the wind turbines is also the same, but for a different reason; the impedance of the natural flow of wind over the landscape can only end poorly. Both are against the natureal balance, the argument of the “green” benefit, which in all calculations is an exponential calculation, is an obscene farce. The whole concept is absurd. The manufacturing, installation, maintenance, and future disposal? Absolutely against all logic.<\/p>\n
Putting PV installations on open land is criminal. My only conclusion is that it’s the last dying tentacle of the WEF. “You will eat bugs and be happy. ”<\/p>\n
OK, time to pull that pin I put in earlier. There will be pictures. These are the folks with the mentality that are the clueless idiots, most likely the same ones waving signs here in Germany “All refugees Welcome.”<\/p>\n
This in on a car that who knows how many tons of ore were mined for the batteries, not only how many kids were crawling in toxic, sometimes collapsing holes in the ground for the cobalt as well as the lakes of toxic waste of destruction of aquifers for the lithium\u2026.but wait, THERE’S MORE.<\/p>\n
